Designed for navigation in Nordic waters, the Garmin Norway marine chart (010-C1253-20) provides detailed cartography from Vestfjorden to Varanger and Svalbard. This solution combines Garmin and Navionics® content on a microSD™/SD™ card, ensuring comprehensive coverage of coastal areas, lakes, and rivers. It is compatible with a wide range of Garmin chartplotters, including the ECHOMAP UHD series (7"/9"), ECHOMAP ULTRA (10"/12"), GPSMAP 10x2/12x2, GPSMAP 12x2 Touch, GPSMAP 7x2/9x2/12x2 PLUS, GPSMAP 7x3/9x3/12x3, and GPSMAP 8400/8600/8700 BB.
Detailed cartography and continuous updates
The chart includes a one-year subscription, providing access to daily updates and additional content via the ActiveCaptain® app. These continuous updates ensure up-to-date map information. The Auto Guidance+™ technology calculates suggested routes from dock to dock, incorporating required depths and clearances, and provides a path to follow through channels, entrances, and marinas.
Advanced navigation features
For better visualization of seabeds, the Garmin Norway chart offers depth gradient functionality, allowing selection of up to 10 colored depth ranges. High-resolution contours, with intervals down to 0.5 meters, provide precise representation of the seabed structure for improved fishing charts and increased detail in various waterways. Customizable shallow-water shading helps visually identify areas to avoid. Additional features such as high-resolution relief shading, satellite imagery, and aerial photos are available for download via the ActiveCaptain® app, enhancing situational awareness, particularly when approaching unfamiliar harbors.
Integration and 3D views
FishEye and MarinerEye 3D views provide underwater and aerial perspectives, enriching environmental understanding with a 3D representation of the seabed and contours. Access to the ActiveCaptain® community allows consultation of useful points of interest (POI), such as marinas, anchorages, hazards, and recommendations from other navigators. The Plotter Sync feature enables wireless transfer of routes and markers, as well as map updates between the chartplotter and compatible mobile app (requires the ActiveCaptain® app).
