Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for coastal and offshore navigation, the Garmin Spain Mediterranean Coast marine chart (reference 010-C1237-20) provides detailed coverage of the entire Spanish and French Mediterranean coast, from the Strait of Gibraltar to La Spezia in Italy. It also includes Corsica, northern Sardinia, the Balearic Islands, as well as the northern coasts of Morocco and Algeria, from Larache to Bejaia or Annaba to Tangier depending on the specific product version.
Integrated Cartography and Advanced Features
This Garmin chart integrates Garmin and Navionics data, ensuring comprehensive coverage and precise detail. Users benefit from Auto Guidance+ technology, which calculates suggested route-to-route itineraries based on desired depths and clearances. The depth gradient function allows visualization of up to 10 depth ranges with high resolution. Detailed contours down to 0.5 or 1 foot (depending on version) improve the representation of underwater structures, shoals, channels, and harbor plans. Shallow-water shading is customizable to identify areas to avoid.
Updates and Compatibility
The chart is supplied on a durable microSD/SD card, compatible with a wide range of Garmin chartplotters, including the ECHOMAP UHD 7/9, UHD² 5/7, ULTRA 10/12, GPSMAP® 5x7, 7x1, 7x2, 8x0, 9x2, 10x0, 12x0, 74xx, and GPSMAP 8xxx series. A one-year subscription to daily updates is typically included, accessible via the ActiveCaptain® app, enabling the chart to be kept up to date with the latest nautical information.
Premium Features (Vision+ Versions)
For Garmin Navionics Vision+ or BlueChart g3 Vision versions, additional features are available. These include high-resolution relief shading that combines colors and shadows for clear visualization of bottom profiles, facilitating the detection of artificial reefs and underwater plateaus. High-resolution satellite imagery provides better situational awareness. 3D views (FishEye View and MarinerEye View) allow three-dimensional representations of the underwater environment and the area above and below the waterline. Detailed aerial photos of ports, marinas, bridges, and navigation landmarks are also integrated.
