The JL Audio MV600/6i marine amplifier is a six-channel Class D audio solution designed for demanding marine environments. It integrates JL Audio’s second-generation NexD2™ switching technology, delivering reference-grade amplification with optimized efficiency and advanced processing power. Unlike traditional analog systems, this amplifier incorporates a digital signal processor (DSP) for precise configuration and tuning via the JL Audio TüN™ application on PC, tablet, or smartphone.
Audio performance and digital processing
The MV600/6i delivers a total RMS power of 600 watts, with 75 watts x 6 channels at 4 ohms or 100 watts x 6 channels at 2 ohms (at 14.4V). In bridged mode, it provides 200 watts x 3 channels at 4 ohms. Its frequency response ranges from 12 Hz to 24 kHz (+0, -1dB), with a signal-to-noise ratio of 99 dB (analog inputs, maximum power) and THD+N below 1% at 2Ω per channel. The integrated 24-bit / 96 kHz DSP enables comprehensive sound control, including input routing and mixing, adjustable gains with clipping indicators, fully adjustable high-pass, low-pass, and band-pass filters, a 10-band equalizer, phase and polarity controls, and time alignment in 0.02 ms increments.
Marine design and system integration
Built for marine environments, the JL Audio MV600/6i features a compact die-cast alloy chassis with a marine-grade powder-coated finish and corrosion-resistant hardware. It is rated IPX2 when mounted vertically with connections facing downward. Its differential balanced inputs accept signal levels up to 16V RMS, reducing electrical noise. It also includes high-level speaker inputs and six processed analog preamp outputs (4V RMS) to extend DSP capabilities to other amplifiers. The JLid™ system enables communication with optional accessories for control and preset selection. All connections are grouped on one side for easy installation in tight spaces. Recommended power/ground wiring is 4 AWG minimum, with a 50 A fuse. Dimensions are 355 mm (width) x 176 mm (depth) x 52 mm (height).
