The Lowrance Ghost 60" motor service kit (no mount), part number 000-15811-001, is designed for replacement or maintenance of the Lowrance Ghost bow electric motor. This kit provides the motor assembly only, intended for sport fishermen who already own the mounting bracket and wish to repair or upgrade their existing installation. With a 60-inch shaft length, this motor is suitable for boats requiring a minimum immersion of 300 mm, typically deep-V hulls or high bow boats, offering coverage similar to the full Ghost models of 47 or 52 inches for specific conditions. Its weight is 24 kg.
Performance and technical integration
This motor features brushless technology, ensuring silent operation and elimination of electromagnetic interference (EMI), guaranteeing clear sonar images. It is compatible with 24 V or 36 V power systems, delivering up to 97 lbs of thrust in 24 V and up to 120 lbs in 36 V. This efficiency translates to a 60% improved battery life and 25% greater thrust compared to some competing models. Integration is simplified by NMEA 2000 and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing direct control from Lowrance HDS Pro, HDS Live, HDS Carbon, or Elite FS multifunction displays via the latest software.
Sonar and advanced control
The Lowrance Ghost 60" electric motor comes with a pre-installed HDI transducer in the nose cone, supporting CHIRP sonar and DownScan Imaging at frequencies 455/800 kHz. An upgrade to an Active Imaging 3-in-1 transducer, including CHIRP, SideScan, and DownScan Imaging, is possible. The Fly-By-Wire steering system provides responsive and smooth control. The foot pedal is configurable with programmable buttons for functions such as anchor mode or heading lock, and includes a battery level indicator. The system uses the GPS from the connected multifunction display or an external GPS antenna, and the external compass, to ensure precise virtual anchoring. The motor also features a gas spring for assisted stowage and deployment, as well as an integrated stabilizer bar to reduce movement in choppy waters. A 50 A circuit breaker is recommended for installation, with a rated current of 50 A at 16-46 V. Connectors include a Micro-C for NMEA 2000, a 9-pin mini male for the transducer, and a 5-pin female for the TMC-1 compass. It is designed for freshwater use but can be used in brackish water with the addition of a sacrificial anode.
