Detailed description
Detailed description
The MANTAGUA NORMA.CPU is the central control and monitoring unit for navigation lights, designed for professional marine systems. This module manages and supervises up to 8 individual navigation lights. It integrates within the complete MANTAGUA NORMA system, requiring pairing with the NORMA.AFF touchscreen for the user interface and the NORMA.PWR module for power management. Unlike all-in-one solutions, the NORMA.CPU offers essential modularity for complex installations, allowing up to 48 lights to be monitored by integrating multiple NORMA.CPU units.
Advanced control and monitoring features
The NORMA.CPU supports a wide range of navigation lights, including filament-based lights (24VDC, 24VAC, 115VAC, 230VAC up to 65W) and LED lights (24VDC from 0.5W to 40W). It includes bipolar protection and control of lights, eliminating any common ground between circuits and enhancing safety. Its anomaly detection capabilities cover filament failure, short circuits, power supply faults, and fuse defects. An hourly counter with LED lifespan alarm is specifically designed for LED lights, optimizing preventive maintenance. The module also features day/night mode and emergency controls directly accessible on the board, ensuring operational continuity even if the main control panel fails.
System integration and compliance
This module serves as the brain of the NORMA system, connecting in series to the control panel (NORMA.AFF), the alarm monitoring system (AMS), and the voyage data recorder (VDR) via RS485 outputs (Modbus RTU or IEC61162-1). The control section is powered by 24VDC (-25%/+30% at 1A max.), and the total power per board is limited to 200W (e.g., 5 lights at 40W or 8 lights at 25W). Its compact dimensions (331x127x67 mm, 1 kg) and DIN rail mounting facilitate installation. The MANTAGUA NORMA.CPU is approved by Bureau Veritas, attesting to its reliability and compliance with international maritime standards for professional navigation equipment. It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 55°C with a maximum humidity of 95%.
