Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for professional and demanding marine environments, the Mastervolt Mass 24/25-2 230V (DNV GL) battery charger is a robust and reliable power conversion solution. It provides a nominal output voltage of 24 V and a total charging current of 25 A at 28.5 V, with two battery outputs, including a secondary 3 A output for maintaining a starter battery. This charger is suitable for battery banks with a recommended capacity of 60 Ah and accepts a nominal input voltage of 230 V (207–264.5 V) at 50/60 Hz.
Performance and Compatibility
The Mass 24/25-2 uses an automatic 3-stage+ IUoUo charging characteristic to optimize the lifespan of Gel, AGM, and lead-acid batteries. Charging voltages are 28.5 V in Bulk and Absorption, with adjustable absorption time. The Float voltage is 26.5 V for wet batteries and 27.6 V for Gel/AGM batteries. DC voltage compensation is integrated, and charging is temperature-compensated using the included sensor.
Design and System Integration
This Mastervolt battery charger is designed for demanding environments. Model 40720266 holds DNV GL certification, in addition to CE, ABYC A-31, RRR, and RMRS compliance. It is fully MasterBus-compatible for centralized monitoring and control, and its current control function prevents tripping.
The Mass 24/25-2 supports ambient temperatures up to 40°C at full power. Its dimensions are detailed in the technical documentation, with a weight of 3.5 kg.
