Smart Converters and Chargers

The Mastervolt range of DC/AC converters and battery chargers incorporates the most advanced technologies to offer high efficiency, complete protection, and compatibility with all modern battery technologies including lithium-ion.

  • Pure Sine Wave Mass Sine Inverters: A range of 12V/24V/48V to 230V inverters providing a pure sine wave identical to the mains electricity supply. Efficiency exceeding 94%, protection against overload, short circuit, overheating, and battery undervoltage. Compatible with sensitive equipment (electronics, computers, household appliances).
  • CombiMaster Inverter-Chargers: 2-in-1 systems combining a high-power inverter and a multi-stage charger in a single unit. Automatic switching between power sources (shore power/generator to batteries) with seamless load transfer. Significant space and weight savings.
  • ChargeMaster Plus Chargers: Intelligent 3-stage chargers (bulk, absorption, float) with temperature compensation and automatic battery type detection. Specific charging modes for AGM, Gel, Lithium-ion, and flooded lead-acid batteries. Multiple outputs for simultaneous charging of several battery banks with configurable priorities.

Lithium-Ion Batteries

Mastervolt MLI (Mastervolt Lithium Ion) lithium-ion batteries utilize LiFePO4 technology to deliver exceptional energy density, extended lifespan, and maximum safety. Each battery incorporates an advanced BMS and communicates via MasterBus for seamless integration.

  • Safe LiFePO4 Technology: Lithium iron phosphate chemistry offering thermal stability and intrinsic safety. 80-90% usable capacity compared to 50% for lead-acid batteries, effectively doubling the available energy. 70% lighter and 50% smaller in volume compared to traditional batteries.
  • Integrated BMS and MasterBus Communication: Battery Management System monitoring voltage, current, and temperature of each cell with continuous active balancing. Bidirectional communication with Mastervolt chargers and converters for automatic optimization of charging parameters and protection against abnormal conditions. Real-time display of the State of Charge (SOC) accurate to within 1%.
  • Lifespan and Performance: Over 3500 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, guaranteeing 10-15 years of service. High discharge capacity (up to 4C) allows for powering large loads without voltage drop. Stable performance from -20°C to +50°C with optional integrated heating for cold environments.

MasterBus System and Monitoring

The MasterBus system is Mastervolt's proprietary digital communication network, enabling the interconnection, monitoring, and centralized control of all onboard energy equipment. This intelligent architecture simplifies installation, reduces cabling, and offers complete control via touchscreen interfaces or mobile applications.

  • Robust CAN-Bus Communication: High-reliability industrial communication protocol using shielded twisted-pair cabling. Daisy-chaining up to 25 devices on a single bus drastically reduces cabling complexity. Automatic detection and configuration of new devices added to the network.
  • EasyView Monitoring Interfaces: 5" and 7" color touchscreen control panels offering real-time visualization of the complete system status: battery voltage and current, circuit consumption, solar production, state of charge, alarms, and historical statistics. Intuitive navigation and complete configuration without requiring a computer.
  • Automation and Remote Control: Program intelligent scenarios for automatic generator start-up based on battery level or consumption, switching between energy sources, and load shedding of non-priority loads. MasterBus mobile app for remote monitoring and control via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi with push notifications in case of alarm.

Electrical Distribution and Protection

Mastervolt offers a complete range of DC and AC distribution systems with integrated protections, circuit monitoring, and remote control for maximum safety and optimized consumption management.

  • C-Zone Distribution Panels: Digital distribution systems that replace traditional fuses and circuit breakers with solid-state electronic modules. Each circuit is individually monitored with overload, short-circuit, and overheat protection. Wiring is simplified with small-gauge wires because power is switched at the central panel.
  • Circuit-by-Circuit Monitoring: Precise measurement of each electrical circuit's power consumption, enabling identification of excessive loads and optimization of battery life. Detailed consumption history and statistics are accessible via the MasterBus interface. Configurable alarms are triggered by current thresholds or usage time.
  • Integration and Scalability: Modular architecture allowing system expansion by simply adding additional distribution modules to the MasterBus network.
