The Mac Plus 24/24-50 + CZone charge converter from Mastervolt is a high-performance DC-DC charger designed to optimize the charging of service batteries onboard. With a peak efficiency of 97% and a maximum output current of 50A, it ensures fast and efficient charging, even on short trips. Its native compatibility with CZone, MasterBus, and NMEA 2000 networks allows for seamless integration into the most sophisticated energy management systems, providing centralized control and monitoring.
Charging technology and flexibility
The Mac Plus uses Mastervolt's proven 3-step+ charging algorithm, ensuring optimal charging for all battery types: gel, AGM, lithium-ion (including LiFePO4), and lead-acid. Its wide input voltage range (16-32 V) allows it to accept all DC sources, including modern Euro 5 and 6 alternators. Unlike a simple converter, it can operate in three-stage battery charger mode or stabilized power supply mode. The engine running detection function protects the starter battery by drawing power only when the engine is running. Up to four units can be configured in parallel to achieve a charging capacity of 200A.
System integration: CZone and MasterBus
The Mac Plus stands out from basic DC-DC chargers with its advanced connectivity. It comes with a 1-meter CZone/MasterBus connection cable and a MasterBus terminator. Integration into the CZone network enables complex automation, such as managing charging priorities based on battery bank status. Via the MasterBus network, it is possible to monitor charging parameters in real time (voltage, current, temperature) and fine-tune the device. This integration capability positions it as a central component for demanding electrical systems, where models like the Mastervolt Mass Combi focus on AC/DC conversion.
Robustness and design
Designed for the marine environment, the Mac Plus features a high-quality aluminum housing and an IP23 protection rating. Its fanless natural cooling ensures silent operation and increased reliability, with no moving parts to wear out. Temperature compensation and voltage detection (via the included sensor) ensure precise charging regardless of conditions.
