Detailed description
Detailed description
The Mastervolt Mass 24/75 (120V) is a robust battery charger designed for demanding marine applications in professional, semi-professional, and leisure settings. It provides a stable 24 V output with a total charge current of 75 A, even under harsh environmental conditions.
Design and reliability
This charger features a rugged design with a lightweight housing made of stainless steel and anodized aluminum. Internal components are coated to prevent damage from moisture or condensation, contributing to extended service life. It is built to withstand vibration and shock. The Mass 24/75 (120V) has a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of 180,000 hours when operating continuously at full capacity. It complies with CE, ABYC A-31, IEC60945 standards and is certified by DNV GL and Lloyd’s Register.
Versatile charging performance
The Mass 24/75 (120V) charger delivers a nominal voltage of 24 V and a charge current of 75 A at 28.5 V. It accepts an input voltage of 120 V (range 90–130 V) at 50/60 Hz, with a maximum power output of 2770 W. Its automatic 3-step+ IUoUo charging profile is compatible with Gel, AGM, flooded lead-acid, and Lithium-Ion batteries, including deeply discharged units. It includes a temperature sensor to optimize the charging process and delivers stable, ripple-free power even without connected batteries. A secondary 3 A charge output is available for maintaining a small battery bank, such as a starting battery.
Integration and advanced features
This model includes a current control function to prevent fuse tripping during voltage drops. It can be connected in parallel with other chargers to increase output current and is immune to electromagnetic interference. MasterBus compatibility enables easy integration into a network for centralized monitoring, configuration, and control. The charger features a dry-contact alarm relay with standard and DC alarm modes. Settings via DIP switches include Force Float, Traction mode, increased Float voltage for certain Gel/AGM batteries, and diode compensation.
