The Navico EGON+ Power - 12V DC 8 Ch is a power distribution board designed for marine electrical systems, integrating fuse and relay functions. This equipment is dedicated to managing and controlling circuits aboard vessels, whether recreational or professional.
Integration and technical performance
With a 12V DC power supply, the EGON+ Power has 8 channels, each equipped with a fuse and a relay. Each fuse channel can support a maximum load of 30 A at 12V, while the relay channels (resistive load) support up to 20 A at 12V, enabling precise management of various equipment. The unit weighs 1.2 kg.
This module is a central component of the Naviop Loop digital switching system, offering extended control and monitoring of the boat’s functions. It is compatible with existing Simrad Pro marine systems and supports the NMEA 2000 network protocol, as well as other standard marine protocols for seamless integration.
Features and safety
The relay behavior is designed for safety: they are deactivated and open when the EGON+ board power supply is cut, and remain in the open state during restart. The board is ignition-protected, requiring the use of ignition-protected fuses to maintain this safety feature.
The system offers expansion capability; it is possible to combine up to two Loop S systems to manage 16 relay channels, and the Loop M system can integrate up to two EGON+ boards. Once integrated into a Naviop Loop system, it enables monitoring and control of functions such as navigation lights and bilge pumps via the multifunction display user interface.
