Detailed description
Detailed description
The XSONIC Airmar B150M (0°) is a bronze through-hull CHIRP transducer designed for recreational and sport fishing in shallow to medium depths. Its compact housing and tilted element deliver optimal performance for fiberglass or wooden hulls. This model features CHIRP Medium technology, providing ultra-clear target resolution and extended viewing areas to help identify fish near structures and suspended fish.
CHIRP Technology and Frequency Range
The XSONIC Airmar B150M (0°) operates on a CHIRP Medium frequency range of 95 to 155 kHz, with a total bandwidth of 60 kHz. Its 300W power output enables depths up to 183 meters (600 feet) while maintaining precise target resolution. The variable beam angle of 26° to 17° adapts to conditions for effective detection.
Design and Installation
This through-hull transducer has a fixed tilt angle of 0°, compensating for hull drift angles of 0° to 7° to direct the beam straight down. Its bronze housing ensures durable construction and compatibility with fiberglass and wooden hulls. Installation requires a 51 mm (2 inch) hole. The transducer includes depth and water temperature sensing functions. A 9-pin connector and 10-meter cable are included for integration with compatible Navico systems. The total weight is 1.4 kg.
Advanced Features and Compatibility
The XSONIC Airmar B150M (0°) is optimized for boats up to 8 meters (25 feet). It features Airmar’s exclusive Xducer ID® technology for automatic fishfinder configuration and optimized performance. The transducer continuously monitors the ceramic’s operating temperature and transmits profile data to the OEM fishfinder display. Airmar certifies that applying a Foulfree coating does not reduce transducer performance while protecting against marine growth.
