Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for fish detection and detailed seafloor imaging, the XSONIC Airmar B175H-W (20°) is a 1 kW CHIRP through-hull transducer with a high-frequency, wide-beam 20° angle. Its bronze housing and 20° tilted element allow offset installation for hull angles from 16° to 24°, ensuring the sonar beam is directed straight down without the need for a fairing block. This model is compatible with fiberglass or wooden hulls.
Performance and CHIRP technology
This transducer delivers 1 kW of power and operates across a high-frequency CHIRP range from 150 kHz to 250 kHz, providing a total bandwidth of 100 kHz. The constant 25° beamwidth across the entire frequency range delivers twice the coverage under the boat compared to traditional narrow-beam transducers. Maximum detection depth is 152 meters (500 feet). The wide-beam CHIRP technology enhances target resolution and separation, producing sharp, detailed images on the fishfinder display, ideal for coastal and pelagic fishing.
Installation and compatibility
The compact design of the Airmar B175H-W (20°) protrudes only 6 mm below the hull, making it suitable for trailerable or lift-keel boats. It includes a fast-response depth sensor and water temperature sensor. The transducer comes with a 9-pin Navico XSONIC connector and a 10-meter (33-foot) cable, or is available in Mix and Match™ versions requiring an adapter cable. Installation requires a 95 mm (3-3/4 inch) hole and provides 71 mm (2.80 inches) of usable shaft length. It is recommended for boats from 8 meters (25 feet) up to 11 meters (36 feet) in overall length. It features exclusive Xducer ID® technology for transducer identification.
