Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for racers, Raymarine’s Race Master T070 compass is a wireless tactical instrument powered by solar energy. It integrates a fluxgate heading sensor optimized for racing, providing precise detection of wind shifts and assistance in optimizing the starting line. The system features two high-contrast LCD displays positioned for optimal visibility on both sides of the boat, even when heeled.
Advanced tactical features
The Race Master T070 offers a unique tactical mode that simplifies reading wind shifts by displaying the heading with an applied offset, allowing the same number to be read on both tacks. This feature helps quickly determine if the wind is lifting or backing, aiding in tacking decisions. It also includes a regatta stopwatch with resync capability, capable of handling complex start sequences up to 20 minutes. For starting line analysis, the compass allows bias determination in compass mode, providing a precise magnetic heading reference.
Integration and positioning within the range
Part of Raymarine’s Micronet wireless system (formerly Tacktick), the Race Master T070 can be supplemented with other Micronet transmitters (wind, hull) to display an extended range of navigation data. It positions as a more complete solution than the Micro Compass T060, offering dual display and networking capabilities. The T070 is compatible with the T113 wireless remote control for remote operation. It is recommended for boats up to 18 meters (60 feet). For constructions in carbon fiber, aluminum, or steel, specific precautions are required to ensure effective radio transmission, necessitating a clearance of at least 10 cm from conductive materials.
