Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine EV-200 autopilot kit is an assistance system for hydraulic or mechanical steering systems. It integrates an EV-1 attitude and heading reference sensor (AHRS) and an ACU-200 actuator control unit (ACU), providing precise heading control for optimal navigation.
EV-1 AHRS Sensor: Precision and Reliability
The EV-1 AHRS sensor is the core component of this system. It provides heading detection and attitude measurement. Weighing 0.29 kg, it operates on a nominal voltage of 12 V DC (powered by the SeaTalk NG system) with an operating range of 10.8 V to 15.6 V DC and a current draw of just 30 mA. Its marine-grade durability is confirmed by an operating temperature range of -25 °C to +55 °C.
ACU-200 Actuator Control Unit: Power and Integration
The ACU-200 actuator control unit manages power supply and control electronics for direct connection to the vessel’s steering system. It delivers a 15 A output current, making it compatible with a variety of actuators. Integration with the SeaTalk NG network (NMEA2000 compatible) enables seamless interconnection with other Raymarine equipment, ensuring smooth data exchange and simplified configuration of the entire navigation system.
