Designed for marine applications, recreational vehicles, and standalone systems, the Victron Energy Inverter 24/1600 Smart converts 24V DC to pure sine wave 230V AC. This model delivers a continuous power output of 1600VA at 25°C and a peak power of 3000W, ensuring the startup of demanding loads such as LED lamp converters, halogen lamps, or power tools.
Advanced Connectivity and Configuration
Bluetooth integration enables full configuration and control via the VictronConnect app on smartphone or tablet, without requiring additional accessories like a Bluetooth Smart dongle. The VE.Direct port provides an alternative for connection to a computer (via a VE.Direct to USB cable) or a GX monitoring device, allowing precise adjustments of parameters such as low battery voltage alarm levels, cut-off and restart thresholds, output voltage and frequency (50 Hz or 60 Hz), and ECO mode settings. This communication versatility distinguishes Smart models in the VE.Direct range.
Robust Design and Optimized Features
Based on the proven full-bridge topology with a toroidal transformer, this inverter ensures operational reliability, stable voltage, constant frequency, and high-quality sine wave output. The toroidal transformer also contributes to high startup power and improved thermal performance. The integrated ECO mode reduces standby energy consumption by switching the inverter to sleep mode when the load drops below a predefined value, with automatic restart upon load detection. The design includes a steel chassis and a fully metallic enclosure, providing IP21 protection. This model is part of Victron’s "new models," featuring increased power per kilogram and per cubic decimeter, as well as better high-temperature performance compared to previous generations.
Safety and Simplified Installation
The inverter is equipped with protections against short circuits, overloads, and overheating, along with alarms and shutdowns for excessively high or low battery voltage. Installation is simplified with accessible DC screw terminals, requiring no special tools for wiring. An operating temperature range of -40 to +65°C, with derating above 40°C, ensures adaptability to various environmental conditions. A remote on/off switch can be connected for remote control of the device.
