The Victron Energy Lynx Shunt VE.Can 1000A is a central component of the Lynx distribution system, designed for precise battery monitoring and main circuit protection. Integrating a positive and negative busbar, a battery monitor, and a main fuse holder, it provides a consolidated solution for DC power management. This M10 model allows for a continuous current capacity of 1000 A and supports system voltages of 12, 24, or 48 V.
Integration and communication
This shunt communicates via VE.Can with Victron Energy GX devices, such as the Cerbo GX, for comprehensive monitoring and configuration. VE.Can communication ensures seamless integration into existing Victron systems, enabling access to battery data via the VRM portal for remote management. The module ships with two VE.Can RJ45 terminators to facilitate connection.
Flexibility and protection
The M10 model of the Lynx Shunt VE.Can 1000A stands out for its flexibility, including a dummy busbar that allows the main fuse to be positioned outside the shunt—a useful feature for systems requiring fuse ratings too large for the internal slot. It is compatible with CNN, ANL, or Mega fuses (sold separately), while the M8 version is limited to CNN fuses. This modularity makes it a versatile component compared to other Lynx modules, such as the Lynx Power In for simple connections, the Lynx Distributor with its four fuse connections, or the Lynx Smart BMS which integrates lithium battery management. The Lynx Shunt VE.Can M10 offers IP22 protection and operates within a temperature range of -40 °C to +60 °C.
