Detailed description
Detailed description
The XSONIC Airmar B75H (0°) through-hull transducer is a 600 W CHIRP solution designed for fiberglass or wooden hulls. It is specifically suited for boats with a deadrise angle of 0° to 7°, ensuring a vertically oriented beam for optimal detection. This transducer uses high-frequency CHIRP technology, operating on a 130 to 210 kHz band, with a beam width ranging from 15° to 9°.
CHIRP technology and detection performance
Thanks to CHIRP technology, the Airmar B75H transducer delivers resolution and detail levels 5 to 10 times superior to traditional transducers. This capability enables precise distinction between forage fish, game fish, and underwater structures. Its wide bandwidth, reaching up to 80 kHz, contributes to clear bottom images and improved target resolution. The narrow high-frequency beam is particularly effective for locating fish near structures or reefs and ensures target separation on fish schools.
Design and installation
Featuring a bronze housing, the B75H (0°) through-hull transducer integrates a 0° tilted ceramic element (Tilted Element™) that corrects the hull’s deadrise angle. This design ensures the sonar beam is directed straight to the bottom, maximizing echo returns. The transducer provides depth and water temperature data with rapid response. Its low profile contributes to high-speed resolution. Installation requires a 70 mm (2-13/16 in) hole and offers a usable shaft length of 95 mm (3.75 in). The integrated Xducer ID® technology enables automatic fishfinder configuration and continuous monitoring of the ceramic sensor’s operating temperatures.
