This beacon has an operating autonomy of over 24 hours once activated, and its battery has a lifespan of 5 years. Activation is manual.
Design and ruggedness
With dimensions of 11.48 cm (L) x 5.16 cm (W) x 3.78 cm (D) and a weight of 148 g, the ResQLink 410 RLS is compact and lightweight. It is designed to float, which is an asset if dropped in the water. Its waterproofing is certified to 5 meters for 1 hour and 10 meters for 10 minutes. The beacon also integrates a strobe visible and an infrared strobe for better visibility during night or low-light rescue operations. It operates within a temperature range of -20°C to +55°C and uses non-hazardous lithium batteries (LiMnO₂).
Use and advantages
The RLS function is indicated by a flashing blue light, providing peace of mind to the user. Global coverage is ensured by the search and rescue satellite network. No subscription is required for its use. The beacon comes with a multifunction clip system for various carrying options, suitable for different nautical or land-based activities.
