The Airmar XSONIC SS175H-W 0° depth sounder transducer is a through-hull, solid stainless steel model rated at 1 kW, specifically designed for demanding sport fishermen and vessels with steel or aluminum hulls. This model integrates high-frequency CHIRP technology (130–210 kHz) with a constant 25-degree wide beam, providing twice the coverage of a standard high-frequency CHIRP transducer. With its 0-degree tilt, it is optimized for flat hulls or those with a deadrise angle between 0 and 7 degrees. Equipped with a 9-pin XSONIC connector, it interfaces directly with compatible Lowrance, Simrad, and B&G multifunction displays.
High-frequency CHIRP detection and wide-beam performance
The High CHIRP frequency band excels in target separation and detail resolution in the upper and mid-water layers. The SS175H-W’s 25° wide beam scans a significantly larger volume of water beneath the boat, making it strategic for tracking pelagic fish. Unlike the SS175M model, which prioritizes depth with its narrower beam, the H-W version maximizes the analyzed water volume to ensure no suspended targets are missed. The integrated fast-response temperature sensor delivers ultra-precise real-time thermal readings to target thermoclines.
Robust stainless steel construction
Manufactured in stainless steel, this transducer is the essential alternative to the bronze B175H-W model for metal hulls, preventing destructive galvanic corrosion.
