Detailed description
Detailed description
The B&G Zeus³ 7-inch is a multifunction display and chartplotter designed specifically for demanding sailors, whether cruising or racing. The most compact model in the Zeus³ range, it features a high-performance processor that ensures instant chart refresh and flawless responsiveness, while offering the same advanced software features as its 9-, 12-, and 16-inch counterparts.
Hybrid display and control
The device is equipped with a 7-inch SolarMAX™ HD touchscreen. Its IPS technology provides ultra-wide 80° viewing angles and perfect readability even in bright sunlight, including with polarized sunglasses, thanks to a high brightness of 1200 nits. The hybrid control system is a major asset: it combines a multipoint touchscreen that works even when wet, a rotary knob, and a full keyboard, ensuring precise and reliable operation in all weather conditions.
Performance and dedicated sailing functions
The Zeus³ integrates a high-speed 10 Hz internal GPS receiver (compatible with WAAS, MSAS, EGNOS, GLONASS) for smooth and accurate position tracking. It stands out with its B&G sailing-specific navigation features: SailSteer for centralized wind and heading data visualization, Laylines overlaid on the chart to optimize tacking, and RacePanel for managing regatta starts. Predecessor to the Zeus S range, it set the standard for sailing software, a superiority still recognized compared to general-purpose chartplotters from Garmin or Raymarine.
Full integration and connectivity
Designed as the heart of your navigation system, the Zeus³ 7 offers extensive connectivity. It features Ethernet, NMEA 2000, and NMEA 0183 ports (via an adapter cable), as well as integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. A 1 kW RMS depth sounder module is integrated, compatible with ForwardScan™, StructureScan® (SideScan and DownScan Imaging™), and CHIRP technologies, eliminating the need for an external depth sounder box in most configurations. The device also includes two microSD card readers and two composite video inputs (RCA) for connecting cameras. This model is sold without mapping.
