Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for demanding marine environments, the BLUE SEA 2356100-BSS 100 A common bus bar provides a reliable electrical distribution solution compliant with standards. This bus bar is specifically designed to consolidate wiring and optimize space on board, thanks to its single-sided wire entry design. It supports a continuous current of 100 A in AC and DC, with a maximum operating voltage of 300 V AC and 48 V DC.
Compliance and System Integration
The 2356100-BSS model stands out with its manual cover secured by knurled screws, allowing quick, tool-free access to connections. This feature is essential for compliance with ABYC E-11.4.23, E-11.4.27, and E-11.9.1.2 requirements regarding electrical panels and emergency accessibility, unlike the 2356 model in the same range, which requires a screwdriver for access. It ensures IP66 waterproofing, protecting connections from powerful water jets and humid environments. The bus bar accepts cable entries from 8 AWG to 4 AWG and four outputs from 16 AWG to 10 AWG, via #8-32 screw terminals and a #10-32 stud.
Materials and Modularity
Made with tinned copper bus bars (C11000), this bus bar guarantees electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance in marine environments. It includes plugs to maintain waterproofing when fewer than four loads are connected. Its design allows stacking with other 100 A Water-Resistant common bus bars (such as the 2356) and Blue Sea Systems ST-Blade Water-Resistant fuse blocks (5056 or 5056100), facilitating the creation of modular and organized electrical panels. It is ideal for positive distribution or collection of negative DC conductors or AC ground. Four inscriptible circuit labels are included for identification.
