BLUE SEA CableClam with 0.68" stainless steel finishing cap, part number 1001100-BSS, is designed for sealing cable penetrations through marine decks or bulkheads. This model features a stainless steel cap for an aesthetic finish. It accommodates cables with a maximum diameter of 17.38 mm (0.68"), providing a compact solution for installations where space is limited.
Design and dimensions
This cable gland consists of a deck ring, a sealing gasket, a split rubber gasket, a compression ring, and a stainless steel cap. Overall dimensions are 49.83 mm (1.96") in length, 47.05 mm (1.85") in width, and 22.61 mm (0.89") in height (including the cap). Mounting points accept #6 screws with a 19.98 mm (0.79") pitch. The CableClam 1001100-BSS is engineered for applications where discretion and corrosion resistance are priorities, compared to bulkier or fully plastic cable glands.
Installation and sealing
The CableClam is designed for reliable sealing. The split rubber gasket, which can be drilled to precisely fit the cable diameter, is inserted into the compression ring. The assembly is then screwed into the deck ring, ensuring uniform compression of the gasket. The stainless steel cap is then fitted over the assembly, protecting the fasteners and providing a clean finish.
