The ePropulsion Spirit 2 electric outboard motor (SKU: SU-2000-X0), with its extra-short 52.5 cm shaft and integrated Spirit Battery Ultra battery, is a compact propulsion solution designed for various boats. It provides quiet and efficient navigation, integrating advanced technologies for an optimized experience.

Performance and propulsion

This Spirit 2 motor delivers a nominal power of 2 kW and a peak power of 3 kW in boost mode. Its thrust is comparable to a 5 HP thermal engine, reaching up to 6 HP in boost mode. The motor operates at a nominal speed of 1700 to 2100 RPM with an efficiency of 86% and a noise level below 60 dB, ensuring discreet navigation. Cooling is provided by a natural water system.

Spirit Battery Ultra battery

The integrated lithium-ion (NCM) Spirit Battery Ultra battery has a nominal energy of 1539.2 Wh (1.5 kWh) and a capacity of 32 Ah at 48.1 VDC, weighing 10.4 kg. It is designed for quick installation and removal. The motor features hydro-generation, allowing battery recharging while sailing at speeds between 3 and 16 knots, with production reaching up to 1.5 kW at 16 knots. A USB-C power port is integrated, enabling charging of electronic devices up to 45W. To extend range, the Spirit 2 is compatible with external 48V ePropulsion batteries from the E series. The battery can be charged from -15°C to 60°C and discharged from -10°C to 65°C, with a lifespan of 1000 cycles at 80% SOH.

Design and ergonomics

The extra-short shaft length of 52.5 cm is suited to transoms with a height of approximately 300 to 400 mm. Its overall dimensions are 825 mm (length) x 190 mm (width) x 915 mm (height). The tiller is foldable and adjustable, offering four steering positions, a shallow-water mode at 35°, and serving as a carrying handle. A color display integrated on the tiller shows real-time essential information such as speed, power consumption, remaining range, and battery status. The tiller tilt angle ranges from -90° to 80°, with fixed angles at -90°, 0°, 45°, and 80°. The steering angle is ±90°, the lifting angle is 70° or 90°, and the pitch adjustment is 0°, 7°, 14°, or 21°. The motor is protected against immersion thanks to its IP67 waterproof rating.

Safety and installation

For onboard safety, the motor integrates a steering lock and a smart cut-off switch with a lanyard. The supported transom thickness range is 28 mm to 63 mm. It is recommended to remove the cut-off switch before transporting the outboard motor. The Spirit 2 operates in a temperature range from -10°C to 40°C and can be stored between -40°C and 70°C.
