Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for precise and detailed navigation, Garmin marine charts cover the coasts of Denmark, Germany and Poland, including key areas of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. This mapping includes regions such as the Kiel Canal, the Szczecin Lagoon, the Elbe Estuary, the Kattegat, the island of Bornholm, as well as the ports of Hamburg and Copenhagen.
Data and features
These charts integrate data from Garmin and Navionics to provide high clarity and detail. They feature contour lines down to 1 foot (0.3 meters), facilitating the visualization of seabed structure for navigation and fishing, particularly in complex areas such as marshes, canals, ports and marinas. The depth range shading function allows you to select up to 10 color options to highlight target depths, while shallow water shading clearly identifies areas to avoid based on a user-defined depth.
Assisted navigation and updates
Garmin’s Auto Guidance+™ technology calculates a suggested route from dock to dock based on desired depth and clearance. This feature is intended for planning purposes and does not replace safe navigation practices. A one-year subscription to daily chart updates is included, accessible via the ActiveCaptain® app, ensuring access to the most recent information. The interface uses a Navionics®-style color palette and offers a customizable view with various layers and overlay combinations. The content combines coastal details and information for inland lakes and rivers.
Compatibility and format
Charts are typically supplied on a microSD™ card with an adapter for standard SD™ card readers, making installation easy in compatible Garmin chartplotters, including GPSMAP and ECHOMAP series.
