Detailed description
Detailed description
The Garmin Force® Current Electric Motor is a trolling motor designed for versatile use in freshwater, brackish water, and saltwater. It features a high-efficiency brushless motor for extended battery life and silent operation, optimized to avoid spooking fish.
Navigation and Sonar Integration
The Garmin Force® Current Electric Motor does not include an integrated transducer and does not support the addition of a transducer. It can wirelessly integrate with compatible Garmin chartplotters to display sonar data from a transducer connected to the chartplotter. A dual-frequency GPS is also integrated for precise boat positioning.
Control and Maneuverability
The Garmin Force® Current Electric Motor offers precise GPS-based virtual anchoring with multiband technology, reversible propeller rotation, and a quick deployment and stow system with a pull cable to hold the boat’s position. Control is via a wireless remote with "point-and-go" gesture steering and a color display. A wireless foot pedal is available for full directional and acceleration control, with programmable buttons for functions like virtual anchoring. The motor provides full forward and reverse thrust in all directions, simplifying rapid maneuvers. Compatible Garmin smartwatches can control direction and virtual anchoring.
Design and Technical Specifications
With a thrust of up to 50 lbs (ISO13342) at 24 V and 30 lbs at 12 V using a high-efficiency propeller, the motor operates on 12 V or 24 V. The propeller motor housing is rated IPX8, and components outside the water are rated IPX7. The motor features a robust alloy shaft and advanced corrosion protection. Lift-assist is provided by a pull cable for quick deployment and stowage. A wireless man-overboard tag is included, cutting power if the motor is dropped. The motor wirelessly connects to Garmin chartplotters for integrated control and navigation. It ships with a high-efficiency propeller and an anti-grass propeller.
