Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for kayakers and anglers, the Garmin Force® Current trolling motor with pedal delivers efficient propulsion and precise maneuverability for navigating freshwater, brackish, and saltwater environments. This motor integrates advanced wireless control technologies and autopilot features for an optimized fishing experience.
Advanced Propulsion and Control
The Garmin Force® Current features a brushless motor for extended runtime and quiet operation both above and below the waterline. It delivers up to 50 lbs of thrust (ISO13342) with a high-efficiency propeller at 24 V, or 30 lbs at 12 V. The system operates on either 12 V or 24 V and offers variable speed control with 20 increments. The integrated electric steering and adjustable shaft (11.4 to 16.6 inches from mount to top of drive motor) adapt to various kayak configurations.
Smart Integration and Features
This motor stands out for its extensive wireless integration. It comes with a portable wireless remote featuring a sunlight-readable transflective color screen for gesture-based steering and throttle control. The remote is waterproof and floats. The included Power Steer pedals also connect wirelessly to the motor, providing a complete hands-free steering and throttle solution with programmable buttons for functions like Anchor Lock and Heading Hold. The Garmin Force® Current includes a heading sensor and dual-frequency GPS, enabling advanced autopilot features such as precise position holding with Anchor Lock, route tracking, and heading hold, even in windy or current conditions. Its wireless integration with compatible Garmin chartplotters allows route creation and tracking, throttle and steering adjustment, or motor parameter changes directly from the display. Compatible Garmin smartwatches can also control steering and anchor lock.
Rugged Design and Safety
Built with a robust alloy shaft and corrosion-resistant components, the motor is designed for demanding marine environments. Its design is rated IPX7 for components above the waterline, ensuring resistance to accidental immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Safety is enhanced with a wireless man-overboard tag that cuts power if it detects the user has fallen overboard. Additionally, its stow-and-deploy mechanism is designed for quick and easy operation. Two propeller options are provided, including an anti-weed propeller. The product is backed by a 3-year warranty and a limited lifetime warranty on the shaft.
