Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for large vessels and demanding marine applications, the Garmin GPSMAP® 9019 chartplotter (SKU: 010-02673-00) is a top-tier integrated navigation solution. Part of Garmin’s current and professional Garmin GPSMAP line of multifunction displays (MFDs), it serves as the heart of a complete onboard system. It delivers up to 7 times faster processing power than previous Garmin generations, such as the 8000 series, and features advanced integration capabilities comparable to high-end professional MFDs on the market.
4K display and processing power
The GPSMAP 9019 features an 18.5-inch (46.9 cm) diagonal IPS 4K touchscreen with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Its edge-to-edge design ensures a modern, clean integration, while its sunlight-readable display guarantees consistent visibility even in bright conditions. Powered by a processor up to 7 times faster than earlier models, this chartplotter delivers smooth chart rendering and accelerated route calculations for quick and efficient planning.
Navigation accuracy and BlueNet™ network
For precise positioning, the chartplotter integrates a 10 Hz GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO/BEIDOU antenna and is supplied with a 24xD GPS position receiver and antenna, ensuring reliable heading accuracy even at low speeds. The GPSMAP 9019 leverages Garmin’s Gigabit BlueNet™ network, enabling up to 10 times faster network speeds for pairing with multiple chartplotters, cameras, radars, and compatible fishfinder modules. It also supports NMEA 2000® and NMEA 0183® networks for extended connectivity with autopilots, sensors, and other marine accessories. Connectivity is further enhanced by two USB-C ports, HDMI ports (input and output), J1939 ports, and BLUETOOTH® and ANT® wireless technologies.
Onboard system integration
This chartplotter offers full video integration with HDCP support, enabling HD content distribution across the onboard network. It is compatible with Garmin fishfinder transducers and modules, displaying fishfinder targets in 4K high definition, including traditional sonar, ClearVü, SideVü, Panoptix™, and LiveScope™ (transducers sold separately). The OneHelm™ digital integration allows control of monitoring, control, and automation systems such as EmpirBus™ and other third-party solutions. J1939 support enables detailed engine monitoring, while Fusion™ audio integration provides alerts and multimedia playback. The chartplotter can also be controlled via voice commands with a compatible headset or a Garmin smartwatch.
Charting, installation, and updates
The GPSMAP 9019 ships with a basic worldwide outline chart for general reference. It is compatible with optional Garmin Navionics+™ and Garmin Navionics Vision+™ charts, which offer premium features such as high-resolution shaded relief and Auto Guidance+™ technology (for planning only). Designed primarily for flush-mount installation, integration into a console requires a cutout of approximately 288 mm by 446 mm. Its external dimensions are 45.7 x 30.5 x 6.9 cm (18.0" x 12.0" x 2.7") for a weight of 6.42 kg (14.16 lbs). The unit operates on 10 to 35V power, with a maximum consumption of 60W at 10V, and has an IPX7 waterproof rating. Wireless software updates are possible via the ActiveCaptain® app using a compatible smartphone or tablet.
