Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for professional marine navigation systems and large vessels, the Garmin GPSMAP® 9027 (part number 010-02676-00) is a high-end chartplotter featuring a 27" (68.5 cm diagonal) glare-resistant IPS 4K touchscreen with preloaded worldwide chart coverage. This MFD (Multi-Function Display) serves as the flagship model of the GPSMAP 9000 series, delivering advanced capabilities for simultaneous display of multiple navigation, fishfinder, or radar data streams.
Performance and Display
The GPSMAP 9027 stands out with its processing power, up to 7 times faster than previous Garmin chartplotter generations. This performance enables rapid chart rendering and high-speed Auto Guidance+™ route calculations, particularly when paired with an optional Garmin Navionics+™ subscription. The 27" "glass helm" bezel-free display delivers 4K resolution for clear visualization of fishfinder targets and chart details. Physical dimensions are 65.5 cm x 42.3 cm x 8.5 cm, with a weight of 12.54 kg. For flush-mount installation, cutout dimensions are 642 mm x 406 mm. The unit operates on 10–35V power, with a maximum consumption of 97W at 10V. It includes a position receiver and a 24xd NMEA 2000® GPS antenna for precise location tracking.
Connectivity and BlueNet™ Network
The GPSMAP 9027 serves as the hub of the Garmin BlueNet™ network, enabling the creation of extended systems with multiple chartplotters, cameras, radars, and fishfinders. This network delivers data transfer speeds up to 10 times faster than previous generations, minimizing latency. The unit features comprehensive connectivity with 4 Garmin BlueNet network ports, 1 J1939 port, 1 NMEA 2000 port, 4 NMEA 0183 input ports, and 2 NMEA 0183 output ports (TX). For video integration, it offers 1 BNC input port, 2 HDMI input ports, and 1 HDMI output port, with HDCP video capabilities allowing identical video and audio output across all network displays and speakers. Wireless connectivity includes ANT+®, Bluetooth®, and Wi-Fi® for software updates via the ActiveCaptain® app, smartwatch control, and audio integration.
Charting, Fishfinding, and System Integration
In addition to its preloaded worldwide chart coverage, the GPSMAP 9027 is compatible with Garmin Navionics+™ and Garmin Navionics Vision+™ (optional) for detailed navigation, daily updates, and premium features such as high-resolution relief shading and satellite imagery. For fishfinding capabilities, it supports Garmin fishfinder modules (sold separately) including traditional sonar, ClearVü, SideVü, Panoptix™, and LiveScope™, displaying targets in 4K. The chartplotter supports integration of digital systems to monitor, automate, and control the vessel via OneHelm™, including EmpirBus™ and other third-party solutions. It also offers extended engine monitoring integration and camera support, including the Surround View system.
Package Contents
The Garmin GPSMAP 9027 ships with a protective cover, required flush-mount hardware, power cable, 24xd NMEA 2000® GPS receiver with mounting adapters, and NMEA 2000 cables and connectors.
