Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for coastal and offshore fishermen, the Garmin GT23M-TH transducer is a stainless steel transom-mount model. It integrates traditional CHIRP in mid-band (80-160 kHz) with 600 W power and CHIRP ClearVü (260/455 kHz) with 500 W power. This 8-pin model ensures precise depth monitoring up to 549 meters in traditional mode and 305 meters in ClearVü mode, as well as water temperature.
Advanced Sonar Capabilities
The Garmin GT23M-TH stands out for its ability to display clear and distinct fish arches, offering superior target separation. In ClearVü mode, it delivers precise definition of structures beneath the boat, facilitating the identification of promising fishing areas. Its beam widths are 24°/13° for traditional sonar and 2.0°x51° at 260 kHz and 1.4°x29° at 455 kHz for ClearVü, enabling detailed coverage.
Integration and Marine Performance
With its stainless steel construction, the GT23M-TH transducer is suited for demanding marine environments. Its transom-mount design, paired with a fairing block, allows installation on hulls with a deadrise angle up to 25°, ensuring optimal beam orientation for stable sonar performance even in rough conditions. This transom-mount configuration is generally preferred over transducers mounted on the transom board for its robustness and better hydrodynamic performance during high-speed navigation or in rough seas. The 9.14-meter cable provides installation flexibility.
