Designed for accurate and rapid monitoring of water temperature, the GTEMP 10-TH through-hull sensor from Garmin is a dedicated solution for marine environments. It integrates via the NMEA 2000® network, enabling smooth data transmission to compatible displays. This sensor is particularly useful for monitoring live wells, bait wells, and fishing zones.
Accuracy and NMEA 2000 Integration
The Garmin GTEMP 10-TH offers a temperature detection range from -25 to 60 °C, with fast response and high sensitivity, essential for applications where thermal variation is a key factor. Unlike temperature sensors integrated into multifunction probes, the GTEMP 10-TH is a dedicated sensor, which can result in faster response and targeted measurement in its installation environment. Its NMEA 2000® integration ensures plug-and-play connectivity with existing systems, simplifying the addition of temperature data to a Garmin, B&G, or Raymarine navigation network.
Design and Installation
With compact dimensions, a length of 70 mm, and a thread diameter of 25.1 mm, the GTEMP 10-TH sensor is designed for through-hull installation. It is compatible with hull thicknesses ranging from 0 to 57 mm. Its flush design minimizes turbulence under the hull. The device consumes 0.24 W (20 mA at 12V) and operates within a voltage range of 9 to 32 Vdc. It allows each sensor to be individually named on the display, a practical feature for distinguishing data from multiple live wells, for example. The sensor comes with a 1.8 m cable and an NMEA 2000® T-connector.
