Designed for coastal and offshore navigation, Garmin marine charts for the Mediterranean Sea, central and western (reference 010-C1238-00) integrate Garmin and Navionics data to provide detailed cartography. They cover the Mediterranean coast from L'Estartit, Spain, to Crotone, Italy, including French, Monegasque, and western Italian coastlines. Coverage also extends to the islands of Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, and Malta, as well as the lakes of northern Italy such as Lake Geneva, Lago Maggiore, Lago di Lugano, Lago d'Iseo, Lago di Como, and Lago di Garda.
Integrated Navigation Features
These charts feature Auto Guidance technology, which calculates a suggested route based on desired depth and air draft, displaying a clear path on the chartplotter. The depth range delimitation function allows displaying up to 10 depth ranges in high resolution for quick identification of zones. Detailed contours, down to 30 cm (1 foot), improve the representation of the seabed structure, which is useful for fishing and navigation in complex areas such as channels and harbors. Shallow water delimitation offers customizable shading to avoid dangerous areas.
Compatibility and Updates
Garmin marine charts for the Mediterranean Sea, central and western are compatible with Garmin ECHOMAP™ Plus and GPSMAP® chartplotters. They are available as microSD™/SD™ cards or for download. A one-year subscription is typically included, providing access to daily updates via the ActiveCaptain® app or Navionics® chart installation software. NOAA raster cartography is also freely downloadable via the ActiveCaptain® app, offering views similar to paper charts for NOAA-surveyed areas.
