Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for coastal and offshore navigation, Garmin marine charts for Portugal and northwest Spain (reference 010-C1236-20) provide detailed coverage of the Spanish Atlantic coast from Gijón to Cádiz, including mainland Portugal with Lisbon and the Guadalquivir River upstream to Seville. These charts integrate Garmin and Navionics data for a comprehensive mapping solution.
Key Features for Accurate Navigation
Garmin Navionics+ and Navionics Vision+ charts include daily chart updates, with up to 5,000 adjustments made daily. A one-year subscription is included, enabling access to these updates via the ActiveCaptain® app. Auto Guidance+™ technology is integrated to generate dock-to-dock routes, combining Garmin and Navionics automatic routing features for optimized route planning.
For better understanding of the seabed, the depth range shading feature allows customization of up to 10 color options to quickly visualize target depths. Bathymetric contours down to 0.5 meters (1 foot) improve representation of seabed structure, shoals, channels, ports, and marinas. User-defined shallow-water shading highlights areas to avoid. Users can also customize display with various chart layers and overlay combinations. NOAA raster mapping is available for free download via the ActiveCaptain® app, providing a paper-chart-like view for NOAA-covered areas.
Premium Features Benefits (Garmin Navionics Vision+)
The Garmin Navionics Vision+ version includes advanced features for enhanced environmental awareness. High-resolution relief shading combines colors and shadows for clear visualization of seabed structure, making it easier to locate artificial reefs and underwater plateaus. This feature is available for free download via the ActiveCaptain® app. High-resolution satellite imagery provides better situational awareness, particularly useful when approaching unfamiliar ports.
Aerial and surface photos of ports, marinas, bridges, docks, boat ramps, and navigation marks are included for improved visual perception above the waterline. FishEye and MarinerEye 3D views offer underwater perspective and a 3D representation of the environment above and below the waterline, respectively. The Dynamic Lake Level feature adjusts charts to current water levels to check accessibility of areas. These charts are compatible with Garmin chartplotters and require an active subscription for updates after the first year.
