Essential navigation features
Each Garmin Navionics+ and Vision+ chart includes a one-year subscription to daily chart updates, accessible via the ActiveCaptain® app or Navionics® Chart Installer software. Auto Guidance+™ technology provides dock-to-dock routing through channels and marina entrances, combining Garmin and Navionics automatic routing features. For improved visibility of underwater structures, depth shading allows up to 10 color options for target depths. Detailed contours down to 0.5 meters (1 foot) are available in many areas, and shallow water shading helps avoid hazardous areas by highlighting a defined depth.
ActiveCaptain® community content enriches navigation with information on marinas, anchorages and local points of interest. Users can customize the display with different chart layers and overlay combinations. The Plotter Sync feature enables wireless transfer of routes, waypoints, chart updates and fishfinder logs between the chartplotter card and the Navionics Boating app. SonarChart™ Live mapping allows real-time creation of 0.5-meter HD bathymetric charts. These charts are available on microSD™/SD™ cards or as digital downloads and are compatible with Garmin chartplotters.
Premium features of Garmin Navionics Vision+
The Garmin Navionics Vision+ version offers advanced capabilities, including high-resolution relief shading that combines colors and shadows for clear interpretation of bottom structure. High-resolution satellite imagery enhances situational awareness, supplemented by aerial photographs of ports, marinas, bridges and other nautical landmarks. 3D views, MarinerEye and FishEye, provide additional perspectives above and below the water surface. Sonar imagery is also available to reveal bottom hardness in certain areas.
