Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for fishing in shallow waters, the Garmin GT30-TM transducer provides detailed ClearVü and SideVü images of the seabed, structures, and fish. This plastic stern-mount transducer uses CHIRP technology for ultra-clear scans at 455 kHz (425–485 kHz) and 800 kHz (790–850 kHz) frequencies.
Imaging performance and connectivity
With 500 W power per element, the GT30-TM offers a maximum depth of 228 m in ClearVü mode and a lateral range of 152 m on each side in SideVü mode. The narrow beams of 1.4°×53° at 455 kHz and 0.8°×30° at 800 kHz for ClearVü, and 1.1°×53° at 455 kHz and 0.7°×30° at 800 kHz for SideVü, ensure precise image resolution. The transducer includes a fast-response temperature sensor. Equipped with a 12-pin connector and a 6 m cable, it is compatible with Garmin displays supporting ClearVü and SideVü technologies.
Positioning and installation
The Garmin GT30-TM transducer positions itself as an intermediate solution, offering high-quality scanning capabilities for shallow waters, between traditional CHIRP transducers and more advanced systems like LiveScope (e.g., GT54 or GT56). Its stern-mount design allows installation on hulls with a deadrise angle of 0° to 70°. It is compatible with the black box transducer module GCV™ 10 (sold separately) to extend your system’s functionality.
