HELIX 5G3 Combo - XD 50/200kHz, Transom-Mount Plastic Sonde with Temperature

The Humminbird HELIX 5G3 combo, part number H5G3-CXDTP, is a unit designed for navigation and underwater detection.

This combo is fitted with a plastic through-hull transducer with temperature sensor, operating at 50/200 kHz frequencies as specified in the product designation. The fishfinder features include Fish ID+ for target identification, zoom options (Zoom In/Out), and specific displays such as WhiteLine and Color Bar. Sensitivity can be adjusted (Low/High) to suit fishing conditions. A temperature graph is also available, requiring an input from the installed transducer’s temperature sensor.

Navigation and Chartplotting

The HELIX 5G3 has a GPS receiver capable of providing enhanced fixes via WAAS, EGNOS or MSAS. It is compatible with various chart sources including Navionics+, Navionics Gold, HotMaps, HotMaps Premium and Platinum+. The unit also supports AutoChart Live, allowing you to create and save custom maps of the seabed. For trip management, the Triplog records elapsed time, distance traveled and average speed. The combo provides comprehensive tools for managing waypoints, routes and tracks, with functions for importing and exporting navigation data.

Connectivity and Advanced Features

Its IPX7 waterproof rating ensures resistance to immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. GPS alarms are also available for drift, arrival at destination or being off-course. The unit’s software can be updated via a microSD card.
