MLI2 stern mount (740252-1)

The Humminbird MLI2 stern-mount bracket (740252-1) is designed for installing the MEGA Live 2 transducer on the stern of your boat. This accessory provides the mechanical integration required for the transducer to function properly.

Cable routing

The stern-mount bracket offers two primary options for routing the MEGA Live 2 transducer cables: either over the stern or through a hole drilled above the waterline. If available, use an existing cable channel or conduit. Any drilling through the stern must be sealed with marine-grade silicone sealant to ensure watertight integrity. Extension cables, clips, and ties may be required depending on the boat’s configuration and must be purchased separately.

Powering the MEGA Live 2 transducer

The MEGA Live 2 transducer, when used with this bracket, requires a dedicated power supply separate from the fishfinder. It must be connected to a switch to activate it when the boat is under way and deactivate it when docked. The power cable should route to the main fuse panel or main switch, typically located near the console. If connecting directly to a battery, a battery switch (not included) is required for proper power management.
