The Lowrance HDS-16 PRO is a 16-inch GPS fishfinder positioned at the top of the Lowrance range, designed for the most demanding anglers and recreational boaters. It comes with the Active Imaging HD 3-in-1 transducer, offering exceptional clarity and definition for detecting fish and underwater structures.
Display and performance
The 16-inch SolarMAX™ HD touchscreen has a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, ensuring optimal readability even in bright sunlight thanks to a brightness exceeding 1200 nits. Its wide viewing angles of 85° (up/down/left/right) allow data to be viewed from any position. The multitouch technology ensures smooth and intuitive navigation through menus and charts.
Advanced sonar capabilities
This bundle includes the Active Imaging HD 3-in-1 transducer, which combines Lowrance CHIRP sonar, SideScan, and DownScan Imaging™ in ultra-high definition. It supports Lowrance CHIRP frequencies (low, medium, and high) up to 1 kW, as well as 455 kHz and 800 kHz frequencies for SideScan and DownScan. The HDS-16 PRO is also future-ready, with full compatibility with real-time sonar systems such as ActiveTarget® 2 (sold separately) to observe fish reactions in real time.
Connectivity and system integration
The HDS-16 PRO is a true control center for your boat. It offers comprehensive connectivity: two 100BASE-T Ethernet ports for connecting radars, sounder modules, or other displays; one NMEA 2000 port for engine data and sensors; one NMEA 0183 port; one HDMI 1.4 video input; one USB-A port; and one analog video input. Wireless connectivity is provided by 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. Two microSD card readers allow the use of detailed marine charts and data recording.
Durability and electrical specifications
Designed for the marine environment, the housing is waterproof to IPX6 and IPX7 standards and withstands shocks and vibrations of 100,000 cycles at 20 G. It operates on a 12 V DC power supply (10.8 - 18 V DC), with a maximum power consumption of 57 W (4.1 A at 13.8 V DC). Installation requires a 5 A fuse. The device weighs 3.60 kg (screen only) and can operate in a temperature range of -15°C to 55°C.
