Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for centralized and flexible management of marine lighting, the Lumishore LUX lighting control module (010-04442-00) is a key component for Lumishore LUX lighting systems. This module can control up to 16 Lumishore lights, including downlights and courtesy lights, providing an integrated solution for vessels equipped with these lights. Use with other lighting brands is not supported and will void the warranty.
Technical specifications and control flexibility
The Lumishore LUX control module operates on a 10.5 to 31-volt power supply, with identical output voltage, ensuring compatibility with 12V and 24V systems. The typical maximum current for 16 lights is 9.6 amperes at 12V and 4.8 amperes at 24V. Each module must be individually protected by a fuse or circuit breaker suitable for the total current of the connected lights. The module has an IP68 rating, ensuring resistance to marine environments.
This module offers dual control options. It can be used standalone with momentary switches, providing on/off functions, dimming via press-and-hold, and color selection (cool/neutral/warm white, and optionally red/blue/green/magenta/cyan). For deeper integration, it connects to a Lumishore EOS-LUX command center, enabling control via a compatible multifunction display (MFD), a dedicated EOS-LUX screen, or a smart device. This flexibility allows for localized management or full integration into the onboard network.
Installation and strategic positioning
Installation of the Lumishore LUX control module is recommended on a flat surface, in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment. Electrical and mechanical installation should be entrusted to a qualified professional. Connections to the lights are made via standard 3-conductor cable, with careful attention to wire gauge to avoid voltage drops, adhering to ABYC recommendations (no more than 3% drop at 12V, 10% at 24V). The module and lights come with 25 cm of unterminated cable, allowing for custom extensions.
Unlike simpler lighting solutions managed by basic switches, the Lumishore LUX module acts as an intelligent hub for Lumishore LUX systems, offering advanced control capabilities (dimming, color management) and network integration. While brands like Raymarine or B&G offer their own ecosystems, this module is specifically designed for integrating Lumishore lights, ensuring compatibility and optimized performance within this environment. It is essential to unlock the full features of Lumishore LUX lights.
