ARH1E Hydrostatic Release Unit for ARH100 and ARH1
Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed by Ocean Signal in the United Kingdom, the ARH1E hydrostatic release unit (also referenced as HR1E) is an essential component for Category 1 automatic-drop EPIRB distress beacons. This unit ensures automatic deployment of your beacon in the event of immersion, increasing the chances of rapid rescue intervention.
Operation and Compatibility
The ARH1E is specifically designed to trigger between 1.5 and 4 metres of water depth under hydrostatic pressure. It is compatible with Ocean Signal’s automatic-drop housings ARH100 and ARH1 and serves as a replacement part for Ocean Signal EPIRB beacons, including models E100, E100G, EPIRB1 Pro, EPIRB2 Pro and EPIRB3 Pro. Its function is to release the beacon from its mounting bracket, allowing the beacon to float freely and transmit its distress signal.
Certifications and Maintenance
This hydrostatic release unit holds MED (Marine Equipment Directive) and SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) certifications, attesting to its compliance with international maritime safety standards. To maintain compliance and reliability of your safety system, the ARH1E hydrostatic release unit must be replaced every two years for Category 1 automatic-drop beacon mounts. The official spare part number is 701S-00608. Its weight is approximately 0.45 kg (1 lb).
