Quick B3 20 L Water Heater – 300 W / 12 V

Designed for producing hot water on board, the Quick B3 20 L Water Heater – 300 W / 12 V is a cylindrical unit featuring a dual heating system. It allows water to be heated via a 300 W electric element powered by 12 V, or via a heat exchanger connected to the engine’s cooling circuit, optimizing energy efficiency while underway.

Construction and Materials

This water heater has a 20-liter tank made of 1.5 mm thick AISI 316L stainless steel. Welds are performed using argon gas to ensure high resistance to corrosion in a marine environment. The heat exchanger is also made of AISI 316L stainless steel and features an extended exchange surface for efficient heat transfer. Thermal insulation is provided by high-density closed-cell rigid polyurethane foam injected between the tank and the outer composite shell, ensuring heat retention. The outer shell is made from a durable plastic composite material.

Technical Specifications and Installation

The B3 model has an electric power output of 300 W at 12 V. It supports a maximum working pressure of 600 kPa (6 bar) and has been tested to 800 kPa (8 bar). Its dimensions are 500 mm in length, 300 mm in diameter, and 316 mm in height, with a dry weight of 8.1 kg (with heat exchanger). The connections have a diameter of 1/2 inch. It is equipped with an adjustable electric thermostat ranging from 40°C to 80°C, with a safety cut-off at 90°C, as well as a pressure relief valve and a non-return valve for safety and drainage. The Quick B3 20 L Water Heater is supplied with adjustable metal brackets, allowing for horizontal or vertical installation on a flat surface.

12 V Electrical Protection

The Quick manual requires a control switch and a 30 A fuse on the 12 V power supply. Cable sizing must be adapted to the circuit length and installed by a qualified technician.
