Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed to optimize energy management on board, the QUICK RC162 electronic load distributor (model ECS162 / FBECS1620000D00) is a solution dedicated to 12V and 24V systems. This device efficiently and independently recharges multiple battery banks from a single charging source, such as an alternator. With one input and two outputs, it manages a maximum charging current of 160 amperes per input, ensuring proper distribution to connected batteries.
MOSFET technology for optimized charging
The QUICK RC162 distributor integrates MOSFET technology, giving it the major advantage of operating with negligible, even zero, voltage drop. Unlike traditional diode-based distributors that can cause significant voltage loss, this model ensures that your batteries receive the full charging voltage from your alternator or charger, optimizing their lifespan and recharge speed. It isolates battery banks, preventing mutual discharge, and automatically distributes current to the least charged battery for maximum efficiency.
Design and installation
With dimensions of 195 x 68 x 135 mm (L x H x W) and a weight of approximately 1.2 kg, the RC162 features a compact design that facilitates installation and wiring in various marine environments. Its passive cooling contributes to its reliability and silent operation. It can be installed in vertical or horizontal position, offering flexible integration. The distributor is compatible with an input voltage range of 5 to 31 Vdc and is equipped with an LED operating indicator. It is designed for low power dissipation and maintenance-free use across a wide range of ambient temperatures. The PDF documentation is included to facilitate implementation.
