Detailed description
Detailed description
Specifically designed for Raymarine ST1000+ and ST2000+ tillerpilots, this 6-pin male plug is a key component for the connectivity of these systems. The ST1000+ and ST2000+ pilots are entry-level solutions for coastal navigation on tillerpilot-equipped sailboats, unlike more complex systems such as Evolution pilots for more demanding applications. This plug ensures power supply (10 V to 15 V DC) and data transmission via SeaTalk and NMEA 0183/0180, essential interfaces for Auto, Track, and WindTrim modes.
Integration and Key Features
The ST1000+ autopilot is designed for displacements up to 3,000 kg, while the ST2000+ handles up to 4,500 kg, with rudder times of 8 seconds and 4.5 seconds respectively. The D337 male plug ensures the necessary connection for these performances, allowing the pilot to operate with a 6-button keypad and a backlit LCD display showing heading and navigation data. It is compatible with wind data from the electronic vane anemometer and waypoint data from a chartplotter, offering waypoint control and leeway compensation. Pilot current consumption ranges from 40 mA in standby to 0.5 A–1.5 A in Auto mode, depending on navigation conditions.
Designed for Coastal Navigation
The ST1000+ and ST2000+ pilot range is specifically optimized for coastal navigation and is not intended for offshore passages. The D337 male plug contributes to the reliability of these systems in their intended operating environment, supporting operating temperatures from 0°C to +70°C. It is essential for implementing advanced pilot functions such as automatic compass deviation correction, north/south heading compensation, automatic sea state control, and automatic tacking.
