Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine Alpha 7" Performance Instrument (E70649) is designed for dedicated display of critical navigation and sailing data. It functions as a performance instrument, differentiating itself from multifunction chartplotters such as Raymarine’s Axiom series or B&G’s Zeus units by offering a simplified interface optimized for rapid reading of technical information.
Integration and technical specifications
This 7-inch display requires connection to a Raymarine multifunction display (MFD) for full system integration and data page configuration. Its flush-mount dimensions include a panel cutout of 188 mm width by 120 mm height. For installation, a minimum clearance of 40 mm behind the unit must be provided for cables and connectors, with a minimum cable bend radius of 50 mm.
Mounting options and connectivity
The Raymarine Alpha 7" Performance Instrument supports various mounting methods, including flush, surface, and offset installations. Specific mast mounts (single portrait, single landscape, double landscape) are available as accessories to optimize viewing angles. Powered by 12/24 V systems, this display requires an inline fuse and a thermal circuit breaker for protection. It integrates into an IP network configuration, operating as a data repeater for real-time information such as wind, speed, depth, engine data, and autopilot status, all managed via the primary MFD. Software v3.2.5 ensures compatibility and access to current features within the Raymarine ecosystem.
