Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine Quantum Q24D Doppler radar, identified by product number E70498-B in its black finish, is a compact solid-state radome antenna. Designed for recreational boating and medium-sized workboats, it integrates Doppler technology for precise identification of moving targets. The unit dimensions are 209.5 mm in height, 541 mm in width, and 541 mm in depth, with four M8x25 mounting points.
Doppler technology for enhanced situational awareness
Unlike traditional magnetron radars, the Quantum Q24D offers instant start-up and reduced power consumption, which is beneficial for sailboats and powerboats where energy optimization is critical. Its Doppler capability distinguishes incoming echoes from outgoing echoes, displaying threatening targets in red and targets moving away in green. This feature improves situational awareness compared to non-Doppler solid-state radars in the Quantum range.
Integration and Installation Flexibility
This radome connects via a power connector and a data connector, with an optional Wi-Fi link to simplify data cable installation. It is compatible with Raymarine multifunction displays, offering seamless integration into existing navigation systems. Model E70498-B is specifically the antenna alone, without power or data cables, making it suitable for installations requiring specific cable lengths or for replacing an existing unit.
