Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for discreet and flexible integration, the Raymarine Ray 90 VHF transceiver with ASN is a "black box" marine communication solution. Unlike all-in-one traditional VHF units such as the Ray60 or Ray70, the Ray 90 separates the main unit, enabling optimized installation and a less cluttered deck. This system includes a Raymic wired handset, a passive speaker, and the necessary cables for immediate commissioning.
Features and integration
The Ray 90 integrates Class D Digital Selective Calling (DSC) functionality, essential for safety at sea. It also supports a modular architecture, allowing the addition of extra wired handsets or wireless handsets, as well as additional active or passive speakers to extend onboard audio coverage. This modularity sets it apart from models like the Ray63 or Ray73, offering greater adaptability to the specific needs of each vessel.
Compatibility and technical performance
The Ray 90 base station is compatible with Raymic wired handsets, ensuring seamless synchronization of features. This system is designed for Raymarine networks and integrates with compatible multifunction displays (MFD) for centralized communication management. The transceiver offers switchable transmit power between 25 W and 1 W, suitable for long-range or close-range communications—a standard feature shared with other Raymarine VHF units such as the Ray91, which also includes AIS capabilities.
