Detailed description
Designed to extend the communication capabilities of your fixed VHF system, the Raymarine Ray90 wireless secondary station pack (reference T70434) provides increased flexibility on board. This pack is specifically intended for Raymarine Ray90 and Ray91 DSC VHF radios, allowing you to add a secondary control station without the constraints of fixed wiring on deck or in the cockpit.
Wireless connectivity and remote control
The pack includes a Ray90 wireless handset and an active speaker. The wireless handset replicates the essential features of the main station, with dedicated buttons for Push-To-Talk (PTT), channel selection (Channel Up/Down), quick access to channel 16 (+), transmit power adjustment (HI/LO between 25 W and 1 W), and DSC distress call activation. An integrated LCD screen and volume/squelch controls complete the user interface. This wireless setup allows mobility around the boat, ideal for large vessels, catamarans, or sailboats with multiple helm stations.
Integration and compatibility
This pack integrates with Raymarine Ray90 and Ray91 systems. For optimal software compatibility, the Ray90/Ray91 base station requires software version v1.61a. Unlike wired options such as the Raymic handset (A80289) which can be connected to Ray90 and Ray91, this T70434 pack stands out for its fully wireless nature, offering freedom of movement and simplifying installation by avoiding complex cable routing for a secondary station. The included active speaker ensures clear and powerful audio playback, essential for effective VHF communication, even in noisy environments.
