Detailed description
Detailed description
Speed and temperature sensor for Raymarine instruments
The Raymarine ST800-P120 is a through-hull dual-function sensor that provides water speed and temperature data to your navigation system. Made of plastic, this sensor is an economical and reliable solution for fiberglass or metal hulls. It comes with a long 13.8-meter cable, offering flexibility for routing to your onboard instruments.
Replacement part for legacy systems
This sensor is specifically designed for older generations of Raymarine instruments, including the ST series (such as ST40, ST60, etc.). As an "obsolete" product, the ST800-P120 is not compatible with modern NMEA 2000 networks (SeaTalkNG in Raymarine) without an adapter. Its main advantage lies in its ability to directly replace a faulty sensor in an existing installation, avoiding the costly and complex upgrade of the entire instrumentation system. It is the ideal solution for keeping proven and reliable equipment operational.
Installation and specifications
The P120 model corresponds to a standard through-hull installation. Installation requires hauling out the boat and drilling the hull. The plastic body is robust and designed to withstand the marine environment. The dual speed/temperature functionality in a single sensor simplifies wiring and reduces the number of hull penetrations, optimizing the vessel's structural integrity.
