Detailed description
Detailed description
The Raymarine T910 is a hull-mounted transducer interface designed to process data from a triducer (triple-function sensor) measuring depth, speed, and temperature. This unit acts as an intermediary between the triducer and the vessel’s navigation system, consolidating these three critical parameters for accurate monitoring. It supports 12/24Vdc shipboard power and can also be powered by a Raymarine solar panel if no dedicated power source is available.
T910 Installation and Connectivity
Installing the Raymarine T910 requires strategic placement aboard the vessel. The unit must be mounted vertically, with cables exiting from the bottom, and positioned at least 50 cm above the waterline. Direct contact with water must be avoided, and a well-ventilated area is required—avoid sealed watertight compartments. Mounting is done using three 2.5 mm holes, with self-tapping screws provided. Care must be taken not to overtighten to prevent damage to the housing.
Wiring and Integration Details
Connecting the triducer cables to the Raymarine T910 follows a specific color code. For a triducer, the ground shield must be connected to the depth connector, not the speed connector, to prevent short circuits. If the speed sensor lacks an integrated temperature probe, the brown and white wires of the speed connector must be linked to ensure signal continuity. Applying silicone grease to the terminals is recommended to optimize the connection, and cable support near the transmitter is advised. Finally, the cover must be correctly positioned to keep the outer cable sheaths inside the transmitter, ensuring adequate protection for the entire wiring system.
