Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for optimal integration on flat hulls or those with a shallow keel angle, the Raymarine 0° HV-300 HyperVision through-hull plastic transducer (reference A80604) provides an advanced underwater detection solution. This transducer is part of Raymarine’s HyperVision™ range, known for its high-resolution imaging capabilities, similar to those of the HV-300THP-P and HV-300THP-S models, but specifically tailored for installations requiring a 0° angle without a compensation block. It is compatible with Raymarine multifunction displays that support HyperVision technology.
HyperVision Technology and Installation
HyperVision™ technology delivers detailed views of the seabed and submerged structures, essential for fishing and navigation in complex areas. Installing the HV-300 through-hull transducer (A80604) requires the use of marine-grade neutral-cure polyurethane sealing products, excluding acetate or silicone-based products. A 6-meter cable is integrated to facilitate connection to your system. For consistent performance, it is critical to apply only water-based antifouling paints and to avoid operating the transducer out of the water to prevent overheating.
Maintenance and Positioning
Maintenance of the HV-300 transducer involves routine checks, regular cleaning, and reapplication of antifouling paint according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Compared to the HV-100, a transom-mounted model, the through-hull HV-300 delivers superior performance at high speeds and reduced turbulence due to its direct positioning in the water flow beneath the hull. The 0° model (A80604) stands out for its ease of integration on hulls where the keel angle does not require correction, optimizing the clarity of images produced by HyperVision technology.
