Detailed description

The Rebelcell DC-DC 12V25A converter transforms an 8–42V DC input into a regulated 12.4V output limited to 25A / 310W. It can be used in a properly designed 12V electronics supply for a fishing setup, including a fishfinder. It does not charge a battery and does not validate any particular device, motor or installation.

Both input and output have M4 screw terminals. Rebelcell specifies external 25A fuses on both sides and lists two spare 25A fuses with M4 connectors in the package; additional connecting cables are not included. The converter has no reverse-polarity protection. Check polarity, actual voltage, combined current, connectors, cable cross-section and length before connection. No exact fishfinder or universal wiring harness is linked.

The housing is rated IP65, but Rebelcell requires a dry, cool, ventilated installation, never on the boat floor or directly on the battery. Do not immerse it. Its 30–42V range fits this converter’s 8–42V input; verify the actual installation, external 25A fuses on both sides, M8/M4 terminals, polarity, cables and total load ≤25A. No exact fishfinder is validated. Do not extend this pairing to the 36V105 EDGE, which reaches 43.8V.

What does this converter do?

It converts an 8–42V DC input to a regulated 12.4V output, with a 25A maximum (310W). Rebelcell positions it for 12V electronics, including fishfinders, but each device and installation must be checked separately. It is not a battery charger.

Can it connect to a Rebelcell 12V, 24V or 36V battery?

The manufacturer states it can be used with Rebelcell batteries whose actual operating voltage stays within 8–42V. Verify the exact battery voltage, terminals and protection. Nominal 12/24/36V family labels do not validate a particular harness or motor.

Which fishfinder is compatible?

No exact fishfinder model is validated here. Check the unit’s permitted input voltage, continuous and startup current, polarity, connector and protection. Combined connected load must remain below 25A.
